“Building for the Future…Honoring the Past” has strong meaning at Lock Haven University. Individuals who were once part of the LHU family touched and inspired many over the years. These people have helped transform LHU into the tremendous institution that we have today. Therefore, the Alumni Association would like to keep the memories of these special people alive forever through the Alumni Association’s Memorial Program. The Memorial Program provides an opportunity for family, friends, and alumni to memorialize a deceased LHU alumnus, faculty or staff member by providing a financial contribution in his or her memory. Since its inception, the program has raised over $41,000. All donations will benefit the Alumni Scholarship Fund and will help provide a future for incoming LHU students. You can make a difference in the life of someone by remembering someone who made a difference in yours.
Memorialized individuals are recognized in the “Book of Remembrance,” which is permanently displayed in the main lobby of the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center. Each page includes the deceased person’s photo, name, class year, donor’s name, current year for the donations, and remarks made by the donor. Below is a directory so you can easily find each individual remembered alphabetical by last name.
If you would like to memorialize a friend or loved one please fill out the form below. Please feel free to make a donation to the Memorial Program via our Paypal system once the form is completed. As stated above, all donations will benefit the Alumni Scholarship Fund.
