Sara Frazier '46
Sara began her time at LHU during WWII, which was a time of change for the nation. She enrolled as an Elementary Education major and was a basketball player for LHU's 1st women's team. She was involved in 13 various clubs and organizations on campus. After much encouragement from Dr. Parsons, the president at LHU at the time, she decided to change her major to Physical Education and graduated in 1946 being one of four females who graduated in Physical Education that year. At a time when women's roles were mostly in the home, Sara landed a job at Wellsboro as a physical education teacher. Read more of her story in The Haven Magazine!
