Crimson Corner

Welcome Alumni!

I am pleased to be back as president of your Lock Haven University Alumni Association for 2012-2013.  I am glad to serve and help our Alums with the services we can provide.

Our Association is working hard for you and we appreciate your views, ideas and, if any, your criticisms.  Our intent is to make your interaction with us as easy as possible.  Our Alumni website is proving to be a useful way for us to keep you informed and allow you to work with us on anything you would like to know about Lock Haven University.

Through the years our University has achieved many great things.  We have grown from a small state college in to a well renowned University that has some outstanding programs and new degrees.  We have always offered and excelled at our Education programs.  Our Physical Education and Teaching degrees are known over many school districts in Pennsylvania and throughout the country. Our PA program is one of the best in the United States.  We are known for our computer education and business education.  We have moved into our new Masters degrees and are adding new courses.

With the addition of our East Campus we have expanded our learning centers and just recently broke ground for a new Science Center.  For those who haven’t been back to campus there is a 642 bed dormitory on N. Fairview St. with updated ideas on student housing.

But, it still is about providing the best in Education for our students.  Our new president Dr. Michael Fiorentino has outlined impressive goals for Lock Haven University.  As he leads us toward a cutting-edge future here, I know he will have your support.  Personally I know we can count on you to help.

Whether your calling is to serve on our board, help with events or help fund our scholarships or projects, you do have an important role in our success.

As always, you are welcome here at the ‘Haven’.  Come back when you can.  Enjoy meeting with old friends and making some new ones.  Our challenge to you is to get involved and help us make the Lock Haven University Alumni Association stronger and help it reach our goals.

It is my pleasure to be your president and I look forward to seeing you back on campus or at any of our events.  Please direct any questions my way, or to Dr. Tammy Rich, our director.  Again, my thanks.
