Two students receive U.S. Army commissions at LHU ROTC Ceremony

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University ROTC commissioning ceremony took place on December 12, 2009 in Sloan Auditorium. The official party consisted of Major Joseph Loren, Professor of Military Science; Dr. Keith T. Miller, President of Lock Haven University; Dr. Linda Koch, Vice President for Student Affairs and Mr. William Hanelly, Vice President for Finance, Administration, and Technology.

The guest speaker was Lieutenant Colonel Darryl Martin, Commander of PA 1-14 and PA 1-15, United States Army Reserve and a PA State Police officer. LTC Martin is a 1987 graduate of LHU and its ROTC program.

At the ceremony, the following students were commissioned Second Lieutenants in the U.S. Army (left to right in photo): Norman O. Wenrick, Active Duty, Military Police and Aaron S. Johnson, PA ARNG, Military Intelligence.
